HECSI

HECSI

The Hand Eczema Severity Index (HECSI) score for the clinical assessment of hand eczema severity, was developed and published first time in 2005 (1). HECSI has since then been the most frequently used severity assessment tool for hand eczema (2). Severity assessment is useful for clinical trials as well as on a daily basis in the clinic. The HECSI score incorporates the extent of the eczema of both hands and six different clinical signs (for details, please see the Training module). The thorough and stepwise procedure of the HECSI score may however impede its use in a busy clinical everyday life. Thus, we created this webpage comprising a HECSI calculator to increase the accessibility of the HECSI score.
